A Look at the Leading Colleges Worldwide ? Bnr.Co

Even though each academic institution has its own specialty and strength, a worldwide survey and query of significant colleges has created a list of top colleges. The ranking took into consideration numerous aspects like admissions statistics, reputation, range of provided courses, ventures in analysis and development, competitiveness and the good results rate of graduates in terms of employment and earnings.

Harvard ranked very first in the list due to its wide range of academic offerings and the high employment rates for its graduates. Ranks two and three went to Oxford and Cambridge respectively, each of which are positioned in the UK. The remaining 7 slots on the top ten had been all taken by universities in the US, namely: Massachusetts Institute of Technologies (MIT), University of California (Berkeley), California Institute of Technologies (Caltech), Princeton University, Yale University and the University of Chicago.

Schools in the 11-20 positions all came from the US, except for Tokyo University, which landed in 18th place. Other schools included: Columbia (11), University of California, San Diego (12), Cornell (13), UCLA (14), Pennsylvania (15), Wisconsin, Madison (16), University of Washington, Seattle (17), University of California, San Francisco (19) and University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (20).

Even though dominated by US-based schools, the ranking also contained schools from other countries like University of Toronto (24) and University of British Columbia (36) in Canada, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (27) in Switzerland, Utrecht University (38) in the Netherlands, University of Paris 06 (45) in France and the Karolinska Institute (50) in Sweden.
